BODY AS A SONIC LANDSCAPE
October 24 @ 9:30 pm – 11:00 pm
A ritual of touch, sound, and material transformation in which the body becomes a mutable landscape shaped by sensation, memory, and physical trace.
Two performers play with active and passive roles as they manipulate flesh, earth, and organic matter until distinctions between the body, objects, sound, and the environment gradually dissolve.
Through selective decay and preservation, the traces of the performance are recorded on a canvas and the work becomes an autonomous pictorial object. Underpinned by ecological and queer discourses, the performance explores the body as both an instrument and an archive, where sensory experience shapes existence.
