SUMMARY:ATTUNEMENT
DESCRIPTION:live sound performance with Sanki \n\n\n\nAttunement is a live sound performance centred around water\, resonance and subtle disturbance. A small illuminated water tank becomes both instrument and surface — contact microphones and vibration speakers amplify hidden textures within the material. \n\n\n\nMinimal gestures\, air movement and physical vibration gradually shift the sonic field\, moving between low-frequency drones\, metallic friction and submerged distortions. The sound builds slowly\, like a breathing organism\, unfolding in cycles of tension and release. \n\n\n\nThe performance explores sensitivity\, instability and transformation and listening becomes a physical\, almost ritual act. \n\n\n\nSanki is a London-based sound and interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans installation\, digital media\, generative composition\, and performance. She weaves sound\, visual\, and spatial experience to create immersive atmospheres that invite audiences to explore the intersections of sensation and existence. Her work often investigates the boundaries between body\, system\, and perception\, extending into video pieces where sound intertwines with the poetics of fragmented time and sensory ambiguity. Her performances balance violent intensity with meditative tension\, guiding audiences into hidden spaces where extremity and beauty converge.

SUMMARY:Esotericism and Modern Life: A René Guénon Reading Group
DESCRIPTION:The Fool\, in association with Jeffrey Grunthaner\, presents a weekly reading and discussion group focused on the work of René Guénon. \n\n\n\nGuénon was a French-born metaphysician whose work explores perennialism\, sacred symbology\, and initiatic history. Our discussions will center on his seminal work The Crisis of the Modern World\, covering topics such as the limits of rationalism\, the divergence between East and West\, metaphysics versus theology\, and the place (or absence thereof) of esotericism in modern life. \n\n\n\nParticipants are encouraged to bring physical copies of the book\, though it’s also available online: The Crisis of the Modern World. \n\n\n\nThe group will meet once a week in the evenings over the course of a month\, starting April 8th \n\n\n\nat 20h. Drop-ins are welcome\, and no prior acquaintance with metaphysics or esotericism is required. Ideally\, we’ll read Guénon’s book through together and reflect on his ideas as we go along. \n\n\n\nDiscussions are likely to appeal especially to persons interested in philosophy\, spirituality\, or esoteric traditions. \n\n\n\nRefreshments will be available for purchase courtesy of The Fool. \n\n\n\nA sliding-scale donation of €8–15 helps support the space and is kindly appreciated.

SUMMARY:Folk Witch
DESCRIPTION:‘The Medieval Revival of the 70s & World Building today”: This keynote traces how California’s Renaissance markets emerged from the countercultural\, left-wing political movements of the 1970s. It examines the Medieval Revival as protest\, play\, and utopian experiment — and follows its transformation into today’s mythopoetic world. A journey through folklore\, politics\, and imagination\, it reveals why invented pasts still shape how we dream of alternative futures. \n\n\n\nAndreas Hirsch aka Alatar Morinehtar aka @the_green_jedi was born in the sign of Scorpio ruled by Pluto the great transformer during a harsh snowstorm and raised in the woodlands and rolling hills of Franconia. \n\n\n\nHe studied Communication Design in Augsburg\, Germany and Fine Art in Caldas da Rainha\, Portugal.  \n\n\n\nFate brought him to California\, US where he worked as an Concept Artist on Apple’s illusion glasses and other secret projects. \n\n\n\nSince 2019\, he primarily works as an independent artist in Munich. He is part of several artists‘ collectives and secret societies. He is the publisher of the zine “Modern Witchcraft”. \n\n\n\nFor him the act of artistic creation is a conscious and intentional manifestation of will and imagination. This creates energy that can change reality.  \n\n\n\nHis latest body of work “Folk Witch” is a series of relief prints that revolve around the imagery of traditional witchcraft and folklore. \n\n\n\nDoor opens 19:30  \n\n\n\nStart 20:00

SUMMARY:Saint In Between
DESCRIPTION:Maison Douce at THE FOOL\, Berlin — Saint In Between \n\n\n\nOn Saturday\, April 11\, 2026\, Maison Douce will appear at THE FOOL in Berlin for a live performance and intimate exhibition dedicated to Saint In Between\, our self-developed saint of thresholds\, uncertainty\, and becoming. \n\n\n\nThe evening gathers an altar and icon paintings dedicated to this figure who watches over those suspended between identities\, life phases\, decisions\, endings\, and beginnings. Alongside the exhibition\, we will present a live performance of approximately 30 minutes: The Saint In Between Sermon and a blessing ritual for all who find themselves standing in the charged territory between one state of being and another. \n\n\n\nAfter the performance\, we will guide the audience through a small collective ritual of making their own ex voto — a devotional offering created as a gesture of gratitude\, hope\, protection\, or remembrance. For us\, this process is part of what we call contemporary liturgy: a shared artistic rite in which symbolic objects are crafted to carry the emotional residue of the night forward\, as both talisman and testimony. \n\n\n\nFor those who are changing skin\, crossing borders\, hesitating at the gate\, or learning to endure the third place — this is for you. \n\n\n\nhttps://www.maison-douce.com/

SUMMARY:3 Cauldrons
DESCRIPTION:Celtic divination through movement \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn pagan Irish society\, the Filid (poets) held near-divine status. Through their words\, they channelled divine inspiration\, prophecy\, or clairvoyance\, and like spells cast their satire could topple rulers. The Cauldron of Poesy is a cryptic early Irish text dating to the 8th century\, which outlines the conditions necessary for cultivating this creative inspiration\, using an allegory of 3 cauldrons. In this workshop\, we’ll journey together through a gentle improvised movement practice to explore each of the cauldrons. \n\n\n\nHosted by \n\n\n\nMíntírigh translates to reclaim. Drawing inspiration from the Mná Feasa (‘Knowing Women’/Seers)\, Miriam creatively combines insights from their studies of Celtic heritage\, paganism\, expressionist movement studies and somatics\, to hold explorative journeys for individual and communal release.  \n\n\n\nLimited to 15 places

SUMMARY:Bjorn Veno - Arthemist
DESCRIPTION:Film Screening \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nARTHEMIST lighthouse 48 is a 63-minute performance film and an accompanying book\, ARTHEMIST lighthouse 48: Why tie your head to a tree when no one is looking? In this fully independent work\, Norwegian artist Bjørn Venø inhabits the Arthemist: an outsider traversing liminal\, deeply personal spaces. Through visceral emotion\, intuition\, and symbolic gestures\, he fractures the boundaries of structured perception and reaches toward a state of becoming that exists outside imposed ways of being. \n\n\n\nFilmed over 15 months on the island where he grew up\, the project is bound to the memory of the land and the need for healing and reclamation. Venø authored every facet of the work\, embodying it as a performance artist\, cinematographer\, sound designer\, and editor. Across 54 intuitive actions performed over a year\, the film distils 48 of them into lived ritual\, movement\, resistance\, and communion with the unknown. \n\n\n\nThe book holds the wider archive through still images\, experimental poetry\, and text\, and includes a foreword by philosopher Hans-Georg Möller. Each page oscillates between documentation and incantation\, image and word\, presence and absence. There is no fear of failure\, no guardrails leading to success; the work fumbles through darkness into the uncaring embrace of the unknown\, where words are eaten by fish.Together\, film and book extend the enquiry of Venø’s first book ARTHEMIST STATEMENT 2.6\, translating meditations on struggle\, transformation\, and the unknown into a practice that challenges commodification and the passive gaze. What remains is a living archive of perception and becoming.

SUMMARY:Animism & Art
DESCRIPTION:a workshop by Andrea Hirsch  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn a world where images can be generated in seconds using AI\, art is in crisis. Why create art at all? What is worth depicting? What ideas are worth investing time and energy in? \n\n\n\nTogether\, we want to explore this from a transcendental perspective. \n\n\n\nI will bring my shamanic drum\, and under guidance\, participants will embark on a trance journey to find personal answers. \n\n\n\nAfterwards\, there will be time for discussion and a further\, more in-depth shamanic journey.
