Putting them into dance is the necessary ritual step to transmute them through magical action. \n\n\n\nIn this workshop we will explore imaginary places within ourselves to notice emerging bodily impulses. Through the absence of movement\, we will enhance its roots\, and through the reduction of our being\, we will welcome a dance that originates elsewhere. Only a few truth-seeking alchemists and wise women continued with the old practices until the early modern age at the expense of being persecuted. \n\n\n\nDespite the proliferation of a materialistic worldview brought in later by science\, occult perspectives didn’t become extinct. In the 19th century French occultist Eliphas Levi put forward the term of the Astral light meaning that images of things and persons are preserved in the astral light and can be evoked through scrying. This notion finds likewise expression in the theosophical concept of the Akashic Records\, a compendium of all universal events\, thoughts\, words\, emotions and intent ever to have occurred in the past and present. \n\n\n\nIn this talk we want to explore the ancient art of scrying. Discuss theories\, practices and share our experiences. The many ways in which messages may present themselves\, how to develop the intuitive senses and evoke trance states. All three films are partially derived from Thomas de Quincey’s 1845 work Suspiria de Profundis\, a collection of prose poetry in which he proposes the concept of three “Ladies of Sorrow” (Mater Lachrymarum\, Mater Suspiriorum and Mater Tenebrarum)\, concurrent with the three Fates and Graces in Greek mythology.

DESCRIPTION:Tarot Study Group with Saara\n\n\n\nThe study of the tarot cards is a study of a lifetime.  \n\n\n\nWith countless decks to practice from\, a rich and diverse history to unpack\, and a deep philosophy that is every-unfolding\, it is a discipline in which even the most experience of readers can feel like beginners.  \n\n\n\nit is a perfect practice in which all can learn from each other\, working together to deepen their understanding of the cards\, no matter which deck\, philosophy\, or culture you are loyal. \n\n\n\nThe fool thus offers its space to support a tarot study group. The intention of this study group is for all participants to come and learn together\, sharing their knowledge\, perspective\, and experience with each other.  \n\n\n\nThere is no teacher\, but rather a loose format that will be used to facilitate discussion and practice for all.  \n\n\n\nDuring the first meeting\, participants will brainstorm on different ways they would like to use the time of the study group\, and from this brainstorming\, a schedule will be made for the first set of meetings. Once the schedule is set\, willing participants will volunteer to help facilitate one of the six meetings. Those facilitating a meeting\, will then meet together and discuss what they would like to do during that time with the group to help facilitate group discussion and practice around that topic.  \n\n\n\nFacilitating a meeting does not mean being the teacher: facilitators rather help the group by managing group discussions\, practices\, and time management for the group. It’s more like you are helping the group to stick together as you all study together. And don’t worry\, if you are not interested in being a facilitator for a topic\, then you don’t have to!  \n\n\n\nWe will aim for facilitation to be done by a small group of 2-3 people rather than one person alone. \n\n\n\nAfter the agenda is set during the first meeting\, we will then have the remaining meetings for those interested in studying together on the decided themes to bring their decks and join!

DESCRIPTION:Butoh Workshop: From Image to Movement by Leonardo Sbabo\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThrough guided and free visualisations\, we will embark on a path of the embodiment of the inner image. \n\n\n\nHow to transform visual inputs into dance?How to use visualisation as an engine for physical creation? \n\n\n\nIf one allows the body space to act\, one can understand many things about the deeper state of consciousness and one’s psychological and energetic blocks. Putting them into dance is the necessary ritual step to transmute them through magical action.In this workshop we will explore imaginary places within ourselves to notice emerging bodily impulses. Through the absence of movement\, we will enhance its roots\, and through the reduction of our being\, we will welcome a dance that originates elsewhere.
