DESCRIPTION:ART COLLAGE WORKSHOP// with Jorge Chamorro\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMax Ernst defined collage as “the systematic exploitation of the accidentally or artificially provoked encounter of two or more foreign realities on a seemingly incongruous level – and the spark of poetry that leaps across the gap as these two realities are brought together.”That spark of poetry is\, ultimately\, what we want to explore in this workshop. \n\n\n\nABOUT THE WORKSHOP:We will begin with a review of the history of collage\, from the avant garde movements to the collage scene nowadays\, ending in Germany and Berlin. We will understand better the importance of collage in the art movements of the XX Century\, we will analyse the different perspectives of the collage language and we will achieve lots of references.After that\, the rest of the workshop will be dedicated to make collages from diverse assumptions\, exploring different ways of creating and expressing. We will make collective analysis of the works\, we will be in a constant dialogue about concept\, composition\, contrast\, color\, texture.The main thing is to have fun\, to learn\, to create a space for knowledge\, exchange and debate.This is a workshop to dive deep into de world of collage. \n\n\n\nABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:Jorge Chamorro (Madrid\, 1972) is a graphic designer\, teacher and collage artist. Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 1995\, he worked for ten years as a graphic designer in several studios and agencies\, until he set up his own studio in Madrid in 2005\, where he develops communication projects for different clients. He combines his work as a designer with teaching graphic design and collage. Besides designing and teaching\, he develops artistic projects\, mainly collage. He has exhibited regularly in a variety of venues around the world and his work has been published in many international media. DESCRIPTION:MOVIE NIGHT IN FULL MOON LIGHT // The Holy Mountain by Alejandro Jodorowsky (1973)\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Fool welcomes us for a third Movie Night in Full Moon Light mini-cinema event \n\n\n\nThe Holy Mountain\, is ripe with hidden allegorical conceptions. \n\n\n\nFrom the enticing introduction\, which is a completely necessary scene\, as it sets up the underlying aspect of ritual within the film\, to the final words uttered in the film\, “Real life awaits us\,” the movie almost purposely sets itself up to be disputed. \n\n\n\nThe corporitization of faith is also a topic the film seems to brush up against. Some people confuse the film with slandering the Christian faith\, when in reality it is simply trying to personify the core teachings of the faith under a clear light\, and warn against those who would threaten to seek a physical constraint\, such as money\, in order to profit from other people’s beliefs. \n\n\n\nJodorowsky commented that The Holy Mountain is like a documented drug-induced experience\, which he claims is not directed toward a single meaning or conclusion. Rather\, he puts himself in opposition to someone like Alfred Hitchcock\, who “manipulates” the audience as though a single malleable body into feeling specific emotions – suspense\, fear\, etc. – during specific moments. I can say that the encounter of the human being with the recovery of ancestry is a precious path of life/death/life. \n\n\n\nMy work at Kuri Lawen (instagram kuri.lawen) has been the opening to an alchemical journey of wisdom and self-knowledge. Where darkness and light have fed my body\, container of teachings and values\, both collective and personal. \n\n\n\nThe hidden botany.In many cultures\, from different parts of the world\, this type of magic is practiced. The occult botany in the herbalism of the wallmapu worldview\, for example\, is based on lunar biodynamics. Since\, these beings\, in order to harvest and sow their food\, had different lunar cults.Basically the union of heaven and earth\, as above and below\, is the basic criterion of this magical procedure. Paracelsus in his text has drawn “melotasia” tables\, to identify through the varieties of shapes and colors of plants\, their astrological and therefore magical correspondence.Having this information is that we can use in our favor\, or that of an entire community\, the power of plants in our daily lives. This workshop is to learn to recognize the astrological correspondence and prepare different concoctions useful for the day. These ancient methods still have their legitimate place in our modern\, western society. They offer us humans a way to get in touch with the spiritual dimension of being. From the so-called non-ordinary reality we can ask for guidance\, strength and healing. \n\n\n\nWhat to expect:In this shamanic circle/workshop\, you will be introduced to the method of trance drum journeying and go on a quest for your spiritual allies in the non-ordinary reality. No previous knowledge is needed. We will meet at an undisturbed place in Treptower Park.Please bring a blanket or yoga mat as well as a scarf to cover your eyes. \n\n\n\nLeader:Isabel has been involved with the subject and practice of shamanism for over 20 years. In the beginning she was mainly interested in European shamanism and practiced intuitively and self-taught.
